Summer Reading Challenge

Summer Reading Challenge 2018

Summer Reading Challenge

The Summer Reading Challenge is a national programme coordinated by The Reading Agency, and delivered in all public libraries in Devon and Torbay throughout the school summer holidays. It is open to all primary school aged children and is designed for all reading abilities.

Children are challenged to read six books of their choice, earning stickers and rewards along the way and a medal and certificate on completion. Thousands of children take part every year.

The Summer Reading Challenge is designed to help keep children reading during the school holidays. Children taking part in the Challenge are encouraged to visit the library regularly, helping them to maintain or improve their reading ability and confidence.

The Summer Reading Challenge website is available all year round and has lots more information about the challenge plus games, competitions and quizzes.
