Health and wellbeing forms an important part of our offering for the people of Torbay.
We are committed to supporting the positive health and wellbeing of individuals through access to a range of different services, resources and events.
Our libraries act as community hubs, bringing people and communities together in safe and welcoming environments. Our libraries are regularly used by those looking for company and support, helping to tackle social isolation and loneliness.
Our Books on Wheels service meets the needs of people who cannot travel to their local library, taking all of our books and resources directly to them and often providing company and support.
In addition, we provide access to resources for health issues, signpost to local health and wellbeing services, host healthy lifestyle events and activities and work with health organisations to provide support services and encourage and promote positive health and wellbeing.
Please contact your local library or email Service Development Manager, Colin Bray for more information.
