Paignton Library is a busy community hub, situated near the station and town centre. The library offers a fun and vibrant environment and offers a warm welcome to everyone. There are lots of activities for children including Music, Rhythm and Rhyme for babies and toddlers, Saturday morning Lego Club, Code Club as well as craft activities in the holidays.

The library also hosts a Local History Group, a Poetry group and several reading groups.  The Friends of Paignton Library run a scrabble group and Crafty Chatters.  The library offers support with IT through our IT volunteers and provides public access computers, Wi-Fi, printing and photocopying.

Joy Against the Machine at Paignton Library
Torbay-raised poet Tom Stockley (AKA T.S. Idiot) joins us in the library to celebrate LGBTQ+ Pride Season. They will be presenting their workshop Joy Against The Machine, celebrating queer voices through discussions and writing activities. Learn about LGBTQ+ History and work with an award-winning poet to create your own poetry about what LGBTQ+ identity means to you. All identities and abilities welcome, and there will be a workshop for young people (under 18) and adults.

Provide a safe space for discussion, showcasing of projects and to encourage and advocate STEM Subjects. 11am-1pm & 1pm-3pm on the second Saturday of the month.
